The PRM-4W Polarity Reversal Module is designed for use with the FSA series of 4-wire smoke detectors and smoke alarms with integral sounders. This module provides a tandem interconnect feature, ensuring that when one smoke detector enters alarm, all connected detectors sound their horns simultaneously, enhancing safety and reliability.
When the control panel goes into alarm, it signals the PRM module to reverse the polarity of the power supplied to the connected smoke detectors. Upon polarity reversal, all detectors in the loop activate their integral horns, providing a clear and unified alarm across the system.
