SKU:
AJ-42790

A power supply board that lets an Ajax hub or range extender run from a portable zinc-air alkaline battery instead of the mains. It installs inside the hub or extender enclosure.

Built for the installer

The application is a site with no usable mains at the position the hub needs to be, or a deployment where extended autonomy matters more than convenience: a temporary installation, a construction site, a remote building, or a system that has to survive a long outage well beyond the hub's own backup battery.

It accepts 4.2 to 10 V input from the battery and delivers a regulated 4.8 V at up to 1.5 A, switching on at 4.2 V and cutting off between 3 and 3.4 V depending on load. A terminal adapter is included.

Key features

  • Runs a hub or range extender from a portable battery where there is no usable mains
  • Extends autonomy well beyond the hub's own backup for temporary or remote deployments
  • Installs inside the existing enclosure, no external box
  • Regulated 4.8 V output at up to 1.5 A
  • Automatic cut-off between 3 and 3.4 V to protect the battery

System requirements

Installs into an Ajax hub or range extender enclosure. Requires a zinc-air alkaline battery with a 4.2-10 V operating voltage, supplied separately.
