This is independent living and family-monitoring work, which is a growing segment of recurring revenue and a different conversation from burglary. A family member or carer gets a pattern of normal behaviour and a notification when it breaks, without cameras in a bedroom, which is what makes it acceptable to the person being monitored.
The mat is 30 by 11 inches with a 0.3 inch profile so it is not felt through a mattress, connected by an 18 inch sheathed four-conductor cable to an ABS transmitter enclosure. Plan on replacing the mat roughly every two years, since material life is typically around that.
