The EG4RSB is a red 4-inch surface mount back box built for installing Kidde Genesis EG4 Series wall-mount notification appliances where flush mounting isn't an option. 16-gauge cold rolled steel construction and a durable baking enamel finish handle the demands of commercial fire alarm installations.
Built for clean surface-mount installs
Combination 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch conduit knockouts on the top, bottom, and sides give you flexible conduit routing on three faces. The rear knockout is for wire entrance only - not conduit - keeping the box profile tight against the wall. Pre-drilled and tapped #6-32 mounting holes inside line up with Genesis EG4 wall-mount horns, strobes, horn-strobes, and speakers, so the device drops right in without adapter plates or extra hardware.
Indoor rated. UL and ULC listed. 16-gauge cold rolled steel with a fire-red baking enamel finish built to last in commercial environments. Grounding provision included to meet code requirements.
