Why it fits the job

The lock works with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings, so it drops into whichever platform the customer already uses. It is ANSI/BHMA Grade AAA with a 20-minute UL fire rating, and it fits doors from 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick with a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and an adjustable latch backset.

Key features

  • Wi-Fi and Matter built in: no hub required, with Matter connectivity via Thread as an option
  • Guest access: share up to 250 temporary, scheduled or permanent access codes
  • Hands-free entry: geofencing can unlock the door as the homeowner approaches
  • Remote control: lock and unlock from the Kwikset app, with an event log
  • Batteries included: runs on four AA batteries

How to sell it

Lead with the platform the customer already owns. Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings are all on the list, and Matter is there for when they want to move to it. Wi-Fi works with no hub, so there is no extra device to mount.

System requirements

A Wi-Fi router, an internet connection for remote access, and a smartphone with the Kwikset app. No hub is required. Matter connectivity via Thread is optional.
