LM-N5T-8LAV

The Luminys N5T-8LAV puts 8MP (4K) resolution and dual-mode LumiLuxSmart lighting on a compact IP turret with a 2.7-12mm motorized vari-focal lens -- purpose-built for commercial installers who need full-color identification at night without sacrificing IR detection range.

Built for the commercial installer

IP67-rated metal housing handles both interior and exterior installations. NDAA compliant with FCC, UL, and IC certifications. Three power options -- 12 VDC, PoE 802.3at, or LumiPower (extended PoE up to 3,000 ft) -- keep the camera deployable even when your runs are long. ONVIF Profile S/G/T and open API/SDK support means it integrates into virtually any VMS without a fight.

Key features

  • LumiLuxSmart dual-mode lighting: four dual-core LED clusters (IR + white light) reach up to 40 m (131 ft); automatically switches back to IR after motion stops to avoid light pollution
  • 2.7-12mm motorized vari-focal at F1.2: remotely adjust zoom and focus from the NVR or web interface -- no ladder trip after mount
  • 4K at 30fps, 120dB WDR: 3840x2160 with H.265/H.264/MJPEG compression; triple-stream output
  • Built-in analytics: line crossing, intrusion, loitering, parking detection, face detection, people counting, heat mapping, and LumiSearch+ when paired with a compatible Luminys NVR
  • Dual audio I/O: built-in microphone and speaker plus 1-channel RCA in and out for two-way audio or external triggers
  • Micro SD local storage: up to 512GB onboard, plus FTP and NAS support

System requirements

Requires a PoE 802.3at switch or injector, 12 VDC supply, or LumiPower extender. LumiSearch+ and LumiAnalytics functions require a compatible Luminys NVR. Compatible with ONVIF Profile S/G/T VMS platforms and LumiViewer/LumiViewer Mobile.

Does the N5T-8LAV work with third-party VMS platforms?
Yes. It supports ONVIF Profile S, G, and T plus an open API and SDK, making it compatible with most major VMS platforms. Confirm specific features with your VMS vendor.
How does LumiLuxSmart lighting work?
Four dual-core LED clusters combine IR and white-light LEDs. White light fires on motion for full-color identification; the camera automatically returns to IR mode afterward to reduce light pollution on neighboring properties.
Can the lens be adjusted remotely after mounting?
Yes. The 2.7-12mm motorized vari-focal lens is adjustable via the camera web interface or a compatible Luminys NVR -- no physical access required once the camera is mounted.
Is the N5T-8LAV NDAA compliant?
Yes. The N5T-8LAV is NDAA Section 889 compliant and carries FCC, UL, and IC certifications.
Does LumiSearch+ require a specific NVR?
Yes. LumiSearch+ target search and LumiAnalytics require a compatible Luminys NVR with LumiSearch+ support. The camera's standard analytics (line crossing, intrusion, loitering, face detection) run onboard without a specific NVR.
What power options does this camera support?
Three options: 12 VDC, PoE 802.3at (IEEE), and LumiPower -- Luminys's extended PoE technology supporting cable runs up to 3,000 feet. Max draw is 12.9W on PoE.
What is the camera's low-light performance?
Minimum illumination is 0.0007 Lux at F1.2 in color mode and 0 Lux with IR LEDs active. The 120dB WDR handles scenes with extreme contrast between bright and dark areas.
