The SAL-1LAB lets you run Ethernet and PoE over existing coax - no new cable pulls required. Plug the transmitter into your PoE switch and the receiver at the camera end, and the link carries both data and power over the RG-59 that's already in the wall. The kit ships with both units, so one SKU covers the full connection.
At distances up to 400 meters on RG-59, you get full 100 Mbps throughput - enough for most IP cameras on legacy coax runs. Even at 1,000 meters (3,300 ft), the link holds at 10 Mbps for lower-bandwidth devices. IEEE 802.3af/at compliance means standard PoE switches work without injectors or adapters, and each unit draws under 2 watts.
- Reuse existing RG-59 coax runs instead of pulling new Cat cable
- Full 100 Mbps throughput up to 400m, 10 Mbps up to 1,000m
- Passes PoE (802.3af/at) to power cameras at the far end - no local power supply needed
- Plug-and-play - no configuration, no software, no DIP switches
- Compact form factor (3.11 x 2.05 x 0.91 in.) fits tight junction boxes
- Up to 8 extenders per PoE switch for multi-camera coax-to-IP conversions
