The Archer AX55 is an AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router for homes and small offices, a solid pick when a customer's ISP router is the weak link in a camera or smart home install. It brings Wi-Fi 6 speed, four Gigabit LAN ports for wired devices and a USB 3.0 port for shared storage.

Built for residential and small office installs

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 reaches up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz with 160 MHz channels and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with OFDMA and beamforming to keep many devices connected. If one router does not cover the building, EasyMesh and OneMesh add compatible extenders or mesh units under one network name. It runs in router or access point mode, supports WPA3, and includes a VPN server and client, so you can reach the network remotely. Setup and management are done in the TP-Link Tether app or a web browser.

Yes. It supports router mode and access point mode, so it can sit behind an existing ISP gateway.
Does it support mesh?
Yes. It works with EasyMesh-compatible devices and TP-Link OneMesh extenders to expand coverage under one network name.
Is the Archer AX55 managed by Omada?
No. It is a TP-Link home router managed in the Tether app or a web browser. For Omada-managed sites, use an Omada gateway and access points.
Does it have a VPN?
