Socket Type B Smart Plug with Power Consumption Monitoring, Black

SKU AJ-88913

  • Fast shipping from four branches
  • 30-day returns on unopened products

A smart plug that reports what the load is actually drawing, not just whether it is on. That turns it from a remote switch into a diagnostic: a failing appliance shows up as a changing draw before it fails outright.

Built for the installer

Because it is on the Ajax system rather than a consumer smart-home app, it can be driven by automation scenarios tied to arming state, detectors or schedules. Switching a load when the system arms is a genuinely useful behaviour that a standalone smart plug cannot do.

Radio range is up to 3,600 ft to the hub. Indoor use, IP20.

Key features

  • Power consumption monitoring, so a failing load is visible before it fails
  • Driven by Ajax automation tied to arming state, detectors or schedules
  • Up to 3,600 ft radio range to the hub
  • No wiring, it plugs into an existing outlet

System requirements

Requires an Ajax hub or range extender. Indoor use, IP20. Check the load rating against the appliance before use.

FAQs

What does power monitoring give me?
A reading of what the plugged load is actually drawing. A changing draw often signals a failing appliance before it stops working, and it confirms whether something is genuinely off rather than in standby.
Can it switch automatically?
Yes, through Ajax automation scenarios. It can respond to arming state, detector events or schedules, which a standalone consumer smart plug cannot do.
Does it need wiring?
No. It plugs into an existing Type B outlet and the appliance plugs into it.
Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European 868 MHz models are not interchangeable with it.
