A mains power relay that switches up to 3.0 kW and reports what the load is drawing. Unlike the dry contact Relay, this one carries the mains itself, so it drops into an existing lighting or appliance circuit.

Built for the installer

The energy consumption monitor is what differentiates it. It reports current, voltage and power on the controlled circuit, which turns a switch into a diagnostic: a customer can see that a heater is running when it should not be, and a failing load shows up as a changing draw before it fails completely.

Protection is comprehensive. Overcurrent protection trips above 11 A when enabled, voltage protection cuts out outside 184-253 V on 230 V mains or 92-132 V on 110 V mains, and temperature protection trips over 149F. Class II electric shock protection.

What is the difference between WallSwitch and Relay?
WallSwitch carries the mains itself and drops into an existing circuit, with energy monitoring. Relay provides a dry contact independent of the load, for driving third-party equipment that has its own supply.
What does energy monitoring give the customer?
Current, voltage and power readings on the controlled circuit. That shows a load running when it should not be, and a changing draw often indicates a failing appliance before it fails completely.
What load can it switch?
Up to 13 A continuous, which is 3.0 kW resistive at 230 V or 1.5 kW at 110 V. Overcurrent protection trips above 11 A when enabled.
Does installation require an electrician?
It is wired into a mains circuit, so the work must comply with local electrical regulations and in many jurisdictions requires a qualified electrician.
Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European models on 868 MHz are not interchangeable with it.
How quickly is a lost device detected?
Within 36 seconds. Jeweller polls each device continuously, so a jammed, removed or failed device is reported rather than quietly going offline.
