The wireless version of Alarm.com's 4MP spotlight camera, and the one to reach for when running Cat cable to the eave is not realistic. Wi-Fi 6 on both bands gives it a better chance in a congested environment than the 2.4 GHz-only cameras it replaces, and Bluetooth enrollment means getting it online does not turn into a twenty-minute exercise on a ladder.

Built for the installer

Bluetooth Mode is the practical win here. The camera is added to the network from a phone over Bluetooth rather than by juggling access point modes, with saved networks and proper error handling. It also gives a fast way back online for a camera that drops, which is the difference between a phone call and a truck roll.

The spotlight provides colour at night and visible deterrence, backed by a louder speaker for talk-down. Onboard recording to microSD gives continuous encrypted footage viewable from the app with no recorder on site. Rated -40F to 122F and IP66.

This model replaces the ADC-V724X. A 12V 1.5A power adapter with a 10 foot lead is included.

System requirements

Requires 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and an Alarm.com account with a compatible video plan. The included 12V 1.5A power adapter is used; this model has no Ethernet or PoE option. For a wired install, specify the ADC-VC730P.
