A single-gang plate that doubles as a junction box behind the ADC-VDB755P. Instead of a service loop stuffed into a hole in the siding, the Cat cable terminates in an enclosed space sized for it, with the door station mounting straight onto the plate.
Built for the installer
Containing the wiring matters on a PoE install. The termination is protected from weather and from being pulled when the unit is serviced, and the finished elevation looks like a planned installation rather than a cable coming out of a wall. It also gives a positive mechanical anchor on surfaces where the doorbell's own anchors are marginal.
The kit includes a documented screw set for different mounting situations, with two required sets and two optional sets depending on the surface and configuration.
