A small sensor that reports temperature and humidity back to Alarm.com, so a problem in an unattended space is an alert rather than a discovery. Server rooms, stock rooms, wine stores, holiday properties and plant rooms all have a range they must stay inside, and nobody is standing in them to notice when they do not.
Built for the installer
This is a straightforward recurring revenue add-on. The sensor is small, battery powered with five years or more from a single CR2450, and enrolls by SmartStart rather than manual inclusion. There is no wiring, no power and effectively no maintenance visit.
It reads from 14F to 158F, which is a wide enough band to cover a freezer room at one end and a plant room at the other. Humidity up to 80% non-condensing.
