The Alarm Controls 600S is the workhorse standard single mag lock for interior openings that see heavy traffic. Bracket-mounted with 600 lbs of holding force, it drops onto any access control system without special tools and gets a door secured in one truck roll.
Built for the commercial installer
Dual-voltage design means one part number covers both 12 VDC and 24 VDC panel outputs, so you're not stocking two SKUs. The E-Z mount header bracket ships with a template and self-drilling TEC screws, which cuts the install to a bracket-and-armature job on a standard interior door. UL 294 recognized, UL 10C fire rated, and CAN/ULC-S104 conformant, so it clears code review on commercial jobs where the AHJ pushes back.
Key features
- 600 lbs holding force for interior door control in access control applications
- Field-selectable 12 or 24 VDC lets one lock serve both panel voltages
- Built-in arc suppression protects panel outputs from inductive kickback on release
- Instant release with no hysteresis for clean egress on request-to-exit
- E-Z mount header bracket, template, and TEC screws included for a no-drill-jig install
- Fire-rated and UL-listed (UL 294, UL 10C, CAN/ULC-S104, UL 864, CAN/ULC-S527)
- Limited lifetime warranty from Alarm Controls (ASSA ABLOY / Hanchett Entry Systems)
Finish options
Ships standard in clear anodized (US28). For jobs where finish matches matter, DURO Duranodic (US40) is available by adding DURO to the end of the part number. Polished chrome and brass dress covers are sold separately as magnetic lock accessories.
Need bond sensing?
The 600S is the standard model without a bond sensor, LED, or door status output. If the job requires status feedback back to the panel, step up to the 600LB, which adds an indicating LED, bond sensor, and door status sensor with SPDT 3A relay contacts on the same 600 lb form factor.
