SKU:
AM3305

The Alarm Controls AM3305 is a 5/8" drop-down spacer plate for the 600 Series single magnetic lock family. Use it when the door top rail, header profile, or existing frame prep doesn't give the mag body enough clearance to sit flush against the header while still aligning to the armature on the door.

When to reach for a spacer

Single mag locks need the magnet face and the armature face to meet in-plane on close. On thin top rails, deep-set stops, or retrofit openings where the header is out of true, the mag can sit too high above the armature to make full contact. The AM3305 drops the mag 5/8" below the header so the armature engages at full holding force instead of a partial bond.

Key details

  • 5/8" spacer thickness — the middle option in the 600 Series spacer family
  • Fits the 600 Series — 600S standard, 600L, and 600LB (with LED, bond sensor, door status)
  • Clear anodized (US28) finish to match the standard 600 Series housing
  • Bracket footprint matches the lock at 9-7/8" L x 1" W, so it disappears behind the mag body on install

Sibling spacers

If 5/8" is too much or too little, the 600 Series family offers thinner spacer options: AM3300 (1/2") and AM3330 (1/4"). Contact your SS&Si sales rep to add either to the order — same install pattern, different drop depth.

When do I need a spacer plate for a mag lock?
Any time the magnet cannot sit flush against the header to fully meet the armature. Common causes: narrow top rails, deep-set door stops, retrofit openings with out-of-square headers, or header trim that raises the mag above the armature plane.
Which mag locks does the AM3305 fit?
The 600 Series single magnetic locks: 600S (standard), 600L, and 600LB (LED, bond sensor, door status). It is not intended for double mag locks or shear locks.
Does the AM3305 change the holding force of the mag lock?
No. The plate is a mounting spacer, not part of the magnetic circuit. Holding force stays at 600 lbs when magnet and armature meet flush. The spacer's job is to make sure that flush contact happens where header geometry would otherwise leave a gap.
Is this the same finish as the standard 600S housing?
Yes. Clear anodized US28, the standard 600 Series finish. It disappears behind the mag body on install.
What is the difference between AM3300 and AM3305?
Spacer thickness only. AM3300 is 1/2", AM3305 is 5/8". Both fit the same 600 Series single mag lock footprint. Pick the depth the opening needs. Note: AM3330 is for double mag locks, not the 600 Series single family, and is not interchangeable.
