The CS2598-5 is the replacement armature (long catch plate) for Kidde electromagnetic fire door holders. It mounts on the door and makes contact with the wall-mounted electromagnet, using a shock-absorbing nylon swivel ball that self-adjusts to any door angle. Specifically designed for the 1504-AQN5 flush wall-mounted door holder configuration.

When a catch plate gets damaged or worn, the CS2598-5 drops right onto the existing door mounting without modifying the door prep or the wall-side electromagnet. The long-style armature is sized specifically for the 1504 flush wall-mounted door holder. If you're working with 1501, 1502, 1505, 1508, or 1509 series door holders, order the CS2595-5 (short armature) instead.
