Dual Port Media Converter Module
The EVOLVE-MEDIA2 is a dual port media converter module that drops into the Kidde EVOLVE fire alarm network. It gives you two SFP-based media converter ports in a single slot so you can bridge fiber and copper segments of the network without dedicating a full chassis position to each conversion.
What it's for
- Adding fiber-to-copper or copper-to-fiber conversion on an EVOLVE network
- Extending an EVOLVE backbone across long cable runs where fiber is required
- Consolidating two media conversion points into one module slot
Notes for installers
SFP transceivers are sold separately and must be matched to the fiber type and distance of each run. The EVOLVE-MEDIA2 is part of the broader EVOLVE accessory family ā confirm panel revision and network architecture before specifying.
