Genesis notification appliances are designed for standard one-gang boxes. When the rough-in has a two-gang, 4-inch square, octagonal, or European 100 mm square box, this trim plate bridges the difference - covering the oversized opening and providing the correct mounting footprint so the Genesis device sits flush. UL-listed, UV-stabilized engineered plastic rated to 94V-0 flammability.
