The EG1T trim plate gives Genesis Series wall-mount notification installs a clean finish when the existing electrical box is larger than one-gang. It covers the gap left by two-gang, 4-inch square, and octagonal boxes so there's nothing visible but the device - no exposed hardware, no rough edges, no callbacks for aesthetics.

Built for the commercial installer

Genesis horns, strobes, and horn-strobes mount natively to standard one-gang boxes. When the job calls for a larger box, the EG1T bridges the difference. It seats behind the appliance backplate and covers the oversized opening completely. No cutting, drilling, or field modification required.

What electrical boxes does the EG1T trim plate fit?
Two-gang, 4-inch square, and octagonal electrical boxes with a minimum depth of 1-1/2". Required when mounting Genesis appliances on any box wider than three inches.
Do I need a trim plate for standard one-gang installs?
No. Genesis horns and strobes mount directly to standard one-gang boxes without a trim plate. The EG1T is only needed when the existing box is larger.
Is the EG1T compatible with Genesis LED EG1 Series devices?
The Genesis LED EG1 Series has its own dedicated trim rings: EG1TW (white) and EG1TR (red). If you're installing LED EG1 Series appliances, use those models. Contact your SS&Si rep if you need to confirm fit.
What other trim plate colors and markings are available?
EG1T (white, no marking), EG1RT (red, no marking), EG1T-FIRE (white, FIRE marking), EG1RT-FIRE (red, FIRE marking), and G1WT-ALERT (white, ALERT marking). All fit the same box types.
