SKU:
KD-G4LFWN-HVM

The G4LFWN-HVM meets the 520Hz low-frequency audible requirement NFPA 72 calls for in sleeping areas, pairing it with a field-selectable strobe up to 110 cd for occupants who need visual notification too.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The 520Hz tone penetrates walls and doors far better than a standard high-frequency horn, reaching up to 83 dBA with selectable high/low output and coded or temporal patterns. The strobe offers four field-selectable candela settings (15/30/75/110 cd) changed by removing the cover and sliding a switch - no separate model needed per candela rating, and the setting stays visible through a window after the cover is closed. The universal room-side wiring plate lets an installer pre-wire and check continuity before the device ever snaps into place.

Key features

  • 520Hz low-frequency tone meets NFPA 72 sleeping-area requirements
  • Field-selectable strobe output: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd
  • Selectable horn output: high/low dBA, coded or temporal pattern
  • Unmarked cover for applications where a FIRE marking isn't required
  • Genesis-compatible synchronization - mixes with legacy Xenon strobes on the same circuit

System requirements

Fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch square, or 4-inch octagon (with GOCT adapter) electrical boxes, at least 1-1/2 in. deep. Strobe synchronization requires a compatible source (CC1S/MCC1S Series Signal Modules, booster/auxiliary power supplies, or intelligent/conventional control panels).

Why 520Hz instead of a standard horn tone?
520Hz low-frequency signals penetrate walls and doors more effectively than higher-frequency tones, which is why NFPA 72 requires them in newly constructed sleeping areas.
Can I change the strobe candela after installation?
Yes. Remove the cover and slide the candela switch to 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd; the setting stays visible through a window once the cover is replaced.
Does this include the mounting plate?
Yes. The GRSW room-side wiring plate ships with the device for pre-wiring and continuity checks before the appliance is snapped into place.
Can I add a FIRE marking later?
Yes, with a replacement quick-swap cover in FIRE, ALERT, or other language marking.
