Kidde's RS232 programming cable connects a computer directly to Kidde fire alarm control panels for local system configuration and programming. One end terminates in a standard DB9 (9-pin) serial connector; the other breaks out to four flying leads with spade connectors for field-wired connection to the panel's serial port terminals.
