The body is cast aluminum alloy rather than plastic, so it survives sun, impact and years on an exterior wall without going brittle or chalky. The white finish matches the standard camera housings in the Alarm.com commercial line, which keeps an exterior elevation looking consistent across multiple mounting positions.
Plan the order carefully: this box requires the ADC-VACC-MNTVS small mounting plate to attach the camera. The plate is a separate part, and turning up without it stops the install.
