The DS1018GMP is an unmanaged 18-port Gigabit rackmount switch with 16 PoE+ ports and a 250 W budget, a plug-and-play way to power a mid-size camera or AP deployment from a single 1U box. Two combo SFP/RJ45 slots handle the uplink.

Built for camera racks that do not need management

Ports 1 to 16 deliver 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W each. Extend mode on ports 1 to 4 pushes PoE and data out to 250 m at reduced speed, priority mode protects ports 1 to 4 for video traffic, isolation mode separates clients on ports 1-8 and 9-16, and PoE auto recovery restarts a powered device that stops responding. Two fans cool the case.

FAQs

How many ports on the DS1018GMP have PoE?
Sixteen. Ports 1 to 16 are 802.3af/at PoE+ up to 30 W each, sharing a 250 W budget. The two combo SFP/RJ45 slots are data only.
Can it reach a camera more than 100 m away?
Yes. Extend mode on ports 1 to 4 carries PoE and data up to 250 m, and the port speed drops to 10 Mbps.
What do priority and isolation modes do?
Priority mode on ports 1-4 protects sensitive traffic such as video. Isolation mode separates clients on ports 1-8 and 9-16.
Is the switch loud?
It has two fans, so it is not silent. Plan for a rack or closet rather than a quiet desk.
Does this switch need to be configured?
No. It is unmanaged and works out of the box. There is no web interface or VLAN support.
