The Rocket Prism 5AC Gen 2 is Ubiquiti's airMAX ac base station radio for tower-mounted PtP and PtMP links in the 5GHz unlicensed bands. It pairs with a RocketDish or sector antenna via dual RP-SMA connectors and feeds a GbE backhaul port, which gives installers a clean single-cable run from the tower head to the network closet.
Where this radio earns its place on the SKU sheet is airPRISM RF isolation. Stack multiple Rockets on the same tower without watching them step on each other, and use the built-in GPS to TDMA-synchronize co-located sectors so timing stays clean as the site grows. For installers building remote IP camera backhauls or multi-site dealer networks, that means fewer truck rolls back to a tower that was "working last week."
The 24V passive PoE adapter is in the box, so no scavenging for the right injector at install time. Die-cast aluminum housing and -40Ā°F to 176Ā°F operating range mean the radio survives the climates the dish has to live in. NDAA-compliant, CE / FCC / IC / RoHS certified.
