A motion detector with a camera in it. When the detector alarms while armed, it photographs what triggered it, so the central station and the customer see the cause rather than guessing at it.

Built for the installer

Photo verification changes the economics of a monitored system. An operator looking at an image can confirm or dismiss an activation in seconds, which cuts false dispatch charges and gets a genuine event a faster police response. In jurisdictions with verified-response policies it is the difference between a dispatch and a phone call.

Images run up to 640 x 480 with HDR to hold detail in bright and dark parts of the same frame, and an IR backlight for night and low light. Underneath it is a full MotionProtect: 39 feet at 88.5 degrees, pet immunity to 44 pounds, SmartDetect and temperature compensation.

When does the camera take a photo?
When the detector is armed and motion is detected. It does not photograph while disarmed, and it is not a continuous camera, so it does not raise the privacy questions a camera in the same position would.
Why does photo verification matter commercially?
An operator can confirm or dismiss an activation from the image in seconds. That reduces false dispatch charges and, in areas with verified-response policing, is what gets a genuine alarm an actual dispatch.
What image quality does it produce at night?
An IR backlight covers night and low-light conditions, and HDR support improves detail where a frame contains both bright and dark areas. Maximum resolution is 640 x 480.
Does this device need an Ajax hub?
Yes. All Jeweller devices report to an Ajax hub or a range extender. The device cannot operate standalone and does not connect to a third-party panel directly.
What does the 9NA region code mean?
It is the North America model, operating on the 905.0-926.5 MHz Jeweller band certified to UL/ULC standards. European models on 868 MHz are not interchangeable with it.
How quickly is a lost device detected?
Within 36 seconds. Jeweller polls each device continuously, so a jammed, removed or failed device is reported rather than quietly going offline.
