The camera connects directly to the dealer-managed Alarm.com account over dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, Wi-Fi 5). No proprietary hub at the install. The solar panel feeds the camera's USB-C input continuously, so a few hours of direct sun a day offsets normal duty cycles. Both pieces are IP65 weather rated for permanent outdoor mounting.

What's the difference between the bundle and buying separately?

Does the camera require a hub at the install?
No. The ADC-V731B connects directly to the dealer-managed Alarm.com account over the property's Wi-Fi network. No proprietary hub or controller is required at the site.
How much sun does the panel need to keep the camera charged?
A few hours of direct sun per day is enough to offset normal duty cycles. Heavy motion-event areas (driveways, busy entryways) may still need periodic battery service; low-traffic areas typically run set-and-forget.
Can the panel be installed separately from the camera?
Yes. The 9.85 ft (3 m) cord lets you mount the panel where sun is strongest and the camera where coverage is needed. The 360Ā°/180Ā° articulating mount handles most angles.
