Panels get mounted where the wire is, not where the signal is. When a communicator lands in a metal can in a basement utility room and the cellular bars will not hold, this antenna moves the radio 18 feet away to a spot that actually has coverage, without relocating the panel or re-pulling anything.

Built for the alarm installer

The MMCX connector snaps on by hand, so swapping the stock antenna takes seconds and no tools. The 18-foot cable is fixed to the antenna, which means one part number instead of an antenna plus a separate extension, and no connector in the middle of the run to work loose. The omnidirectional pattern keeps roughly 3 dB of gain in every direction, so you do not have to aim it at a tower to get the benefit.

Mount it vertically for best results, run it up out of the can, and verify signal at the panel before you close up. This is an indoor antenna, so keep it inside the conditioned envelope rather than running it into an attic or outside wall cavity.

Key features

  • Fixes weak signal without moving the panel, which saves a second truck roll on a job that is otherwise finished
  • Snap-on MMCX connector swaps in by hand, no tools and no crimping
  • 18-foot fixed cable in one piece, so there is no inline connector to fail
  • Omnidirectional pattern means no aiming and no site survey to get the gain
  • Works on LTE and 3G bands across Alarm.com cellular and dual-path communicators

Will this antenna fix a panel that has no cellular signal at all?
It helps where signal is weak but present, by letting you place the antenna up to 18 feet away from the panel in a better location. It adds roughly 3 dB of gain and does not create coverage where there is none.
Does the antenna need to be aimed at a tower?
No. The radiation pattern is omnidirectional, so it picks up equally in all directions. Mount it vertically for best performance.
Can this antenna be mounted outdoors or in an attic?
No. It is rated for indoor use only. Keep it inside the conditioned space rather than running it into an attic, a wall cavity or an exterior location.
Which connector does this antenna use?
MMCX snap-on. It fits Alarm.com cellular and dual-path communicators that use an MMCX antenna connector. Confirm the connector on the module before ordering.
Can the 18-foot cable be shortened or extended?
The cable is fixed to the antenna and is not designed to be cut or extended. Adding an inline extension introduces loss and a connection point that can work loose.
