The power module for the ADC-VDB750, fitted at the chime to condition the circuit so the doorbell gets steady power and the chime still behaves the way the customer expects.
Built for the installer
Chime circuits were designed to pass current briefly when somebody presses a button, not to run a camera continuously. The module is what reconciles those two jobs on an existing circuit, and it is the part to reach for when a doorbell is under-powered, the chime buzzes, or the chime type does not suit a direct connection.
Where there is no usable chime circuit at all, the Wall Power Supply (ADC-VDBA-PSU-DC) is the alternative, since it bypasses the circuit entirely with a 16V plug-in supply.
Key features
- Conditions an existing chime circuit so the doorbell runs and the chime still works
- Fixes under-powering and chime buzz on circuits that will not support a direct connection
- Keeps the existing chime in service rather than replacing it
System requirements
For the Alarm.com ADC-VDB750 video doorbell. Where no usable chime circuit exists, use the Video Doorbell Wall Power Supply (ADC-VDBA-PSU-DC) instead.
