Three things to know before fitting one. The pack ships at only 20 to 30 percent charge, so it needs charging before installation rather than going straight on the wall. Alarm.com recommends verifying the doorbell is on firmware 2.4.1.081 or later first, because a mismatch between pack and camera firmware triggers an update on the initial install. And the blue protective film over the connector pins has to come off, which is the single most common reason a new pack appears dead.
