The replacement battery component for the ADC-VDB770, and the part that digital chime installations depend on. Where the site has a digital chime, this is the required configuration; the battery-less insert is not an option there.
Built for the installer
On a digital chime circuit the doorbell cannot draw continuously the way it can on a mechanical chime, so the battery covers the gap. That makes this both a service part for an aged battery and a configuration part when a site's chime type dictates it.
If the install has a mechanical chime or no wired chime at all, the battery-less insert (ADC-VDBA-770BLI) is the better specification, since it removes battery upkeep from the site entirely.
Key features
- Required for digital chime installations where the battery-less insert cannot be used
- Service part for an aged or failed battery without replacing the doorbell
- Drop-in replacement of the existing battery component
