Puts an existing Interlogix Simon XT or XTi panel on Alarm.com, so the customer keeps the panel and the sensors already installed and gains app control, remote arming and notifications. On a takeover that is a module and an afternoon instead of a full system replacement.
Built for the alarm installer
This variant reports over Verizon LTE cellular only. On a site with a usable network drop, the dual-path version adds an Ethernet path alongside cellular for faster signal delivery and redundancy.
Standby draw is 30 mA, or 10 mA in PowerSave mode, but transmit peaks at 1.7 A. That peak is the number to check against the panel supply and battery, because a tired battery that holds up under standby load can still fail on a transmit burst.
Key features
- Keeps the existing Simon panel and sensors, avoiding a full replacement
- Cellular reporting on Verizon LTE
- PowerSave mode drops standby to 10 mA, which matters on battery standby time
- Compact at 4.06 by 1.87 in to fit inside the existing panel housing
System requirements
Requires an Interlogix Simon XT at version 1.3 or later, or a Simon XTi, and 6V from the panel. Confirm the panel supply and battery can deliver the 1.7 A transmit peak.
