A dual-path communicator without its ethernet dongle is a cellular-only communicator. This is the factory replacement pigtail that restores the wired IP path, so you can finish the install on the first trip instead of scheduling a return visit when the original dongle goes missing from the box or gets damaged in the can.
Built for the alarm installer
The dongle terminates in a standard RJ45 jack on one end and a keyed multi-pin header on the other, plugging directly onto the communicator board. Run a patch cable terminated to T-568A or T-568B, plug it in, and the module reports over IP and cellular at the same time. Alarm.com sends the signal down both paths simultaneously and the server acts on whichever arrives first, so the wired path improves signal time without creating a single point of failure.
Fits any Alarm.com dual-path SEM module and the dual-path Interlogix modules. Keep one on the truck: it is a low-cost part that prevents a callback on an otherwise finished job.

System requirements
This is an accessory, not a standalone device. It requires a compatible Alarm.com dual-path communications module (dual-path SEM or dual-path Interlogix) and an active ethernet drop at the panel. Cellular-only modules do not use it.
