The Kidde 439DEX-8AW-R is an 8-inch explosionproof fire alarm bell built for hazardous location installations where diode-supervised signaling is required. Heavy-duty construction with UL and ULC listings covers Class I, II, and III environments - a direct fit for petrochemical, industrial, and manufacturing facilities where standard notification appliances can't go.

Built for the hazardous location installer

The integral explosionproof housing accepts a standard 3/4-inch NPT conduit connection, tying into existing rigid conduit runs without adapters. Mounts to any solid surface with two 3/8-inch bolts and the included brackets, or directly to rigid conduit. At just 0.24A draw on a 24 VDC NAC circuit, it keeps device counts high on long wire runs - critical in large facility layouts where circuits stretch across multiple buildings or zones.
