The GSA-REL is an intelligent addressable releasing module that controls sprinkler, pre-action, and deluge systems, and can release clean-agent or gaseous suppression such as CO2, Halon, or foam Ć¢ā¬ā all communicating directly over the fire alarm panel's Signature loop, with no separate releasing panel required.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Seven on-board circuits (two release, two pre-release, one manual release, one abort, and one Form C first-alarm relay) cover a complete suppression sequence from one module. Built-in field-configurable timers control abort and release delays, and four abort modes let you match the routine to the job's suppression design without custom programming. Every release, pre-release, manual, and abort circuit is individually supervised, so a wiring fault shows up as a specific trouble condition instead of a blind spot.
Key features
- Complete releasing package in one module: two release circuits, two pre-release NACs, manual release input, abort input, and a Form C first-alarm relay
- No separate releasing panel needed: communicates directly with the fire alarm panel's Signature loop controller
- Field-configurable timers and four abort modes for a range of suppression sequences
- Fully supervised circuits Ć¢ā¬ā faults on any release, pre-release, manual, or abort circuit report independently without disabling other circuits
- Automatic device mapping Ć¢ā¬ā the module reports its own address and position on the loop, no manual loop mapping
System compatibility
Compatible with Kidde VS and VM Series control systems. UL, ULC, and FM listed; uses six module addresses on the Signature loop. Compatible releasing solenoids must be UL/ULC-listed and FM-approved.
