The ANS50XR is UL listed for fire alarm applications and meets NFPA 72 emergency voice/alarm communication requirements. It integrates directly with Kidde's ANS audio notification platform, using the same wiring practices and supervision the main panel already expects. Front-panel LEDs (FAULT, NORMAL, ALARM) give immediate visual status without opening the cabinet.

System requirements
Requires a Kidde ANS series audio notification main panel (ANS50MDR2, ANS100MDR2, or equivalent) as the host system. The expander connects to the main panel and provides additional amplified speaker circuit capacity for larger buildings or phased evacuation zones.
