SKU:
KD-EGCAVHRF

The EGCAVHRF puts a UL 1971 horn-strobe in one low-profile ceiling/wall canister, with LED strobe output field-selectable to match room size instead of stocking multiple fixed-candela units.

Built for the commercial fire installer

The included room-side wiring plate lets you rough-in and check circuit continuity with the diagnostic check bar before the finished device ever goes up, so a wiring mistake shows up before drywall and paint instead of during final test. LED strobe technology draws less current than legacy Xenon devices, meaning more devices per NAC circuit, longer wire runs, and fewer booster power supplies on retrofit jobs — and EGC strobes can share a circuit with existing Xenon Genesis strobes, so there's no need to rip out everything already on the wall.

Key features

  • Field-selectable candela output matches room size without stocking multiple SKUs
  • Room-side wiring plate speeds rough-in and lets you verify continuity before final install
  • Low current draw supports more devices per circuit and longer wire runs than Xenon
  • Mixes on the same circuit and field of view as legacy Xenon Genesis strobes
  • Synchronized strobe and selectable temporal/steady horn output meet NFPA 72
  • Red housing with FIRE marking for standard commercial applications

Compatibility

Genesis LED-compatible notification appliance circuits; may be mixed with legacy Xenon Genesis strobes on the same NAC.

What candela settings does the EGCAVHRF support?
Field-selectable output so one device covers multiple room sizes without stocking separate fixed-candela SKUs.
Can this mix with older Xenon Genesis strobes on the same circuit?
Yes. Genesis LED devices are backward compatible and can share a NAC circuit and field of view with legacy Xenon Genesis strobes.
What is the room-side wiring plate for?
It lets you rough-in wiring and verify continuity with the built-in diagnostic check bar before the finished horn-strobe is snapped into place.
Is this a ceiling or wall mount device?
Both -- it's built for ceiling or wall mounting per the EGC Series lineup.
