SKU:
KD-EGCAVHRN

The EGCAVHRN is a Genesis high-candela ceiling horn-strobe, unmarked red housing, giving installers a wider 95-177 cd strobe range for large open areas and long sightlines without stepping up to a wall-mount unit.

Built for the commercial installer

An exclusive FullLight lens design ditches the bulky reflector, so the whole coverage area gets even illumination without hot spots. The device unlatches and twists open for access to the mounting screws and the candela switch, then closes back up with no visible mounting hardware. Horn output is field-selectable for high or low dB, and the strobe syncs with other Genesis signals on the same circuit within 10ms when paired with a synchronization source.

Key features

  • Selectable 95, 115, 150, or 177 cd strobe output for larger rooms and longer throws
  • High/low dB horn output, field-selectable without removing the unit
  • FullLight lens technology for even, spike-free light distribution
  • Low-profile ceiling design, no visible mounting screws once installed
  • UL 1971 / UL 1638 listed, ADA compliant

System requirements

Mounts to a standard North American 4" square electrical box, 2-1/8" deep. A Genesis Signal Master or compatible synchronization source keeps strobe timing locked to other devices on the circuit.

What's the difference between this and the standard-candela EGC horn-strobe?
This high-cd model steps up to 95/115/150/177 cd instead of the standard 15/30/75/95 cd range, for larger rooms or longer sightlines on the same circuit.
Does the strobe need a synchronization source?
For UL-compliant synchronized flash across multiple devices, yes -- a Genesis Signal Master or compatible sync module. It will still operate stand-alone without one.
What electrical box does this need?
A standard North American 4" square electrical box, 2-1/8" deep, for indoor wall or ceiling mounting.
