The Genesis LED EG1 platform uses a three-piece design: cover, signaling appliance, and trim ring backplate. That separation means an installer can swap a cover to match a change order - different color, different marking - without a full device replacement or any rewiring. This cover is red with no marking, for visual-only (strobe) EG1 wall mount devices.

What devices does the EG1VRN-CVR fit?
This cover fits all Kidde Genesis LED EG1 Series compact wall mount strobe appliances. It does not fit EG4 (wall), EGC (ceiling), or EWG (outdoor) Series devices.
Does this cover include FIRE marking?
No. The EG1VRN-CVR is the unmarked (no marking) version. For a red wall strobe cover with FIRE marking, order EG1VRF-CVR.
Can I swap covers without removing the device from the wall?
Yes. The Genesis LED EG1 three-piece design (cover, signaling appliance, trim ring backplate) allows field replacement of the cover without disconnecting wiring or removing the backplate from the electrical box.
