The EG1AVRN-CVR is a replacement wall cover for Kidde's Genesis LED EG1 Series compact audio/visual notification appliances. Red finish, no FIRE marking. The quick-swap cover design lets you change covers in the field without removing the appliance from the wall or disconnecting wiring.

Why stock spare covers

Job site damage, code-required marking changes, and color swaps are routine on commercial fire alarm installs. Having the right cover on the truck saves a return trip. This cover fits all EG1 Series wall-mount horn-strobe and strobe models, snapping onto the base with the tab release at the bottom of the device.

Yes. The EG1AVRN-CVR fits all Genesis LED EG1 Series wall-mount notification appliances, including horn-only, strobe-only, and horn-strobe models.
Can I swap covers without removing the appliance from the wall?
Yes. The tab at the bottom of the device unlocks the cover. No tools required, no need to disconnect wiring or remove the base from the box.
What is the difference between marked and unmarked covers?
Marked covers display the word FIRE on the front. Unmarked covers (like this one) have no text. Your local AHJ and project spec determine which is required.
Do I need a trim ring with this cover?
Not on standard 1-gang boxes. If the appliance is mounted on a box wider than 3 inches (4-inch square or octagon), use the optional EG1T (red) or EG1TW (white) trim ring to cover the oversized opening.
Will this cover work on ceiling-mount Genesis models?
No. Ceiling-mount Genesis appliances use the EGC Series covers. This cover is wall-mount EG1 Series only.
