The EGCS cover is a field-replaceable housing that changes the appearance of an installed Genesis LED ceiling speaker-strobe without touching the NAC circuit or base plate. Useful for refreshing damaged covers, converting from unmarked to marked (or vice versa), or changing the appliance color on a retrofit without pulling wire.

What bases does this cover fit?
The EGCSVRN-CVR fits all Kidde Genesis LED EGCS Series ceiling-mount speaker-strobe bases. It is not compatible with wall-mount EG4, compact EG1, or older non-LED Genesis bases.
Does replacing the cover require rewiring?
No. The cover snaps on and off the EGCS base without tools. No disconnection from the NAC circuit is needed.
What does 'no marking' mean?
This cover has no FIRE text printed on the housing. Kidde also offers marked versions with FIRE lettering for jurisdictions or applications that require it.
Can I change color by swapping the cover?
Yes. Kidde offers Genesis EGCS covers in both red and white. Swapping the cover changes the appliance color without replacing the base or rewiring.
