This cover is designed for the Kidde Genesis LED EG4 Series wall-mount speaker. It replaces the front faceplate on the EG4SRF (red, FIRE marking) speaker appliance.
Can I swap from a FIRE-marked cover to an unmarked cover?
Yes. Genesis LED EG4 covers are interchangeable across marking types. Order the EG4SRN-CVR for a red cover with no marking, or EG4SWF-CVR for a white cover with FIRE marking. Covers pop off with a screwdriver and snap into place - no rewiring needed.
Do I need special tools to change the cover?
No. A standard screwdriver is all you need. Push up on the device at the bottom to release the cover, then snap the new one into place. The mounting plate and wiring stay on the wall untouched.
Is this compatible with older Genesis (non-LED) wall speakers?
No. This cover is specific to the Genesis LED EG4 Series. Older Genesis wall speakers and Genesis LED EG1 compact devices use different form factors.
