SKU:
KD-K-278B-1110

The K-278B-1110 gives building occupants a clear, two-step activation - lift the door, then pull the handle - reducing accidental pulls while staying simple enough for the general public to operate without instruction.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Pulling the handle breaks a glass rod and trips a toggle switch, latching the handle in the alarm position until the station is deliberately reset with a standard tool - no key to track down or issue to staff. Rugged red Lexan construction with white raised lettering stands up to daily wear in high-traffic areas.

Key features

  • Double-action operation - lift door, then pull handle
  • Single pole, open circuit contact
  • Tool-operated reset - no key required
  • General alarm contacts
  • Screw terminal field connections
  • Break-glass, non-coded operation, latches until reset

System requirements

Semi-flush: standard 4-inch square box with single-gang plaster cover, 2-1/4 in. minimum depth. Surface: 276B-RSB surface back box (sold separately). Replacement glass rods available as 276-GLR.
