Pulling the handle breaks a glass rod and trips a toggle switch, latching the handle in the alarm position until the station is deliberately reset with a key - no momentary pushbutton to second-guess. Presignal alarm contacts let authorized personnel initiate a general alarm from any operated station using a separate general alarm key, a common requirement in phased-evacuation buildings. Rugged red Lexan construction with white raised lettering stands up to daily wear in high-traffic areas.
