The Kidde Genesis GCHFRF-S2VMCH is a high fidelity ceiling-mount speaker-strobe that delivers 520 Hz low-frequency signaling alongside field-selectable high-candela strobe output. Built for commercial fire alarm notification on 25V NAC circuits, it mounts directly to a standard 4-inch square box with no extension ring required.
Built for the commercial installer
The Genesis platform synchronizes flash and tone with compatible sync modules (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, EG1M-RM, and others), keeping your notification circuits UL 1971 compliant without manual timing workarounds. UL 1638, UL 1971, and ULC-S541 listed. CSFM approved. Speaker-strobes comply with ADA Code of Federal Regulation Chapter 28 Part 36 for accessible audible and visible notification.
Key features
- 520 Hz high fidelity tone: meets low-frequency signaling requirements for sleeping areas without a separate low-frequency appliance
- Field-selectable high cd strobe: 95, 115, 150, or 177 cd output via rotary switch - size the candela to the room on site
- Selectable wattage taps: 1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, or 2W output for flexible NAC circuit loading
- No extension ring required: flush-mounts to a standard 4-inch square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) or 960A-4RF round flush box
- Synchronized flash: compatible with Genesis Signal Master and multiple sync modules for UL 1971-compliant strobe synchronization
- Red housing with FIRE marking: clear optical-grade polycarbonate lens, UV-stabilized engineered plastic exceeding 94V-0 flammability rating
System requirements
Connects to any listed fire alarm control panel with a 25V speaker circuit and 16-33 VDC (24 VDC nominal) strobe power. Wire with #18 to #12 AWG conductors. For synchronized operation, add a compatible sync module (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC2A, EG1M-RM, or panel-integrated sync output).
