The Genesis G4LF 520 Hz low frequency horn delivers code-compliant audible notification for sleeping areas and other spaces where standard 3 kHz signals fall short. Wall-mount design, selectable high/low dB output, and compatibility with Kidde VM, VS, and FX Series fire alarm control panels make it a straightforward drop-in for commercial fire alarm notification circuits.
Built for the commercial installer
NFPA 72 requires 520 Hz low frequency signals in sleeping areas - hotels, dormitories, healthcare facilities, assisted living, and similar occupancies. The G4LFRF-H meets that requirement with a red housing and FIRE marking, flush-mounting on a standard North-American 4" square box with the supplied spacer. No adapters, no special trim. For surface-mount applications, pair with the EG4RB surface mount box (sold separately).
Key features
- 520 Hz low frequency tone meets NFPA 72 requirements for sleeping area notification
- Selectable high/low dB output via internal jumper - adjust on-site without swapping the appliance
- Temporal 3 or coded/steady patterns: factory-set temporal, field-configurable via internal jumper
- Genesis synchronization with compatible modules and power supplies for coordinated audible output across circuits
- 24 VDC or 24 VFWR operation on 12-18 AWG wiring, standard fire alarm circuit compatibility
- UV-stabilized, color-impregnated housing resists fading and maintains appearance over time
System compatibility
Works with Kidde VM and VS Series life safety systems, FX Series fire alarm control panels, and Genesis synchronization modules (GSA-CC1S, GSA-MCC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC2A, EG1M-RM). Compatible power supplies include MIRBPS6A, MIRBPS10A, APS6A, and APS10A.
