The EWGAVRA combines audible and visual mass notification signaling in one weatherproof, ALERT-marked appliance, built for rain, snow, and process areas that would sideline a standard indoor device.

Built for the commercial fire installer

High-performance LED strobe technology draws less current than legacy Xenon strobes, so more devices fit on a circuit with lower-gauge wire and fewer booster power supplies - and it's backward-compatible enough to mix on the same circuit as older Xenon strobes during a retrofit. The piezo horn reaches up to 86 dBA with selectable temporal or steady output, and the strobe offers field-selectable 15 or 30 cd output at the same current draw regardless of setting. The ALERT marking distinguishes mass notification signals from FIRE-marked devices on the same site.

Can I change the marking later?
Yes. Replaceable quick-swap covers let you change between ALERT, FIRE, and no-marking configurations without replacing the device.
Does the adapter plate come with the device?
No. Order an EWGRMA (red) or EWGWMA (white) adapter plate separately - it's required for both flush and surface mounting.
Can this mix with older Xenon strobes on the same circuit?
Yes. LED strobes are backward-compatible and can be mixed with legacy Xenon-based strobes on the same circuit and field of view.
Is this rated for outdoor use?
Yes. It carries NEMA 4X and IP66 listing when installed per the specifications, and is IP67 compliant as a standalone device.
