The EWGAVWA combines audible and visual mass notification signaling in one weatherproof, ALERT-marked appliance, built for rain, snow, and process areas that would sideline a standard indoor device.
Built for the commercial fire installer
High-performance LED strobe technology draws less current than legacy Xenon strobes, so more devices fit on a circuit with lower-gauge wire and fewer booster power supplies - and it's backward-compatible enough to mix on the same circuit as older Xenon strobes during a retrofit. The piezo horn reaches up to 86 dBA with selectable temporal or steady output, and the strobe offers field-selectable 15 or 30 cd output at the same current draw regardless of setting. The ALERT marking distinguishes mass notification signals from FIRE-marked devices on the same site.
Key features
- NEMA 4X / IP66 listed for outdoor wet applications; IP67 compliant standalone
- Field-selectable 15 or 30 cd strobe output, same current draw at either setting
- Up to 86 dBA horn output (UL 464), selectable temporal or steady
- Operating range -40ưF to 151ưF (-40ưC to 66ưC)
- Quick-swap cover - change ALERT/FIRE/no marking without replacing the device
- Ultra-slim profile, protrudes about 1.55 in. from the mounting surface
System requirements
Flush mount: 4-inch-square-deep box with EWGWMA adapter plate (white, sold separately). Surface mount: Model 449 (gray) or 74347U (red) weatherproof box with EWGWMA adapter plate and ring (sold separately). DC operating voltage only.
