SKU:
KD-EWGAWN

The Genesis WG4 outdoor horn drops into wet, harsh, and extreme-temperature environments where conventional notification appliances fall short. Rated from -40F to 151F and built for wall or ceiling mounting, it handles parking garages, loading docks, process areas, and exterior installations without a separate enclosure. Room-side wiring on 12-18 AWG keeps install time down.

Built for the commercial installer

Field-configurable sound output gives you high or low dB settings via a simple jumper cut - no need to swap devices when the spec changes on site. The piezo sounder hits up to 94.7 dBA (UL 464) at 24 VDC and supports both temporal and coded notification circuits. Fully compatible with Genesis synchronization protocols, including VS, VM, and FX Series panels with built-in sync.

Key features

  • Outdoor and indoor rated: -40F to 151F operating range, 0-95% RH noncondensing
  • Field-configurable output: high/low dB and temporal/coded pattern via board jumpers
  • Up to 94.7 dBA at 24 VDC (UL 464) with 3.2 kHz tone for strong sound penetration
  • Wall or ceiling mount in four orientations on Model 449, 74347U, or 4-inch square boxes
  • Room-side wiring accepts 12-18 AWG for fast, clean terminations
  • Genesis sync compatible: works with GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, EG1M-RM Signal Master, and FX/VS/VM panels

Mounting options

For outdoor and wet locations, mount to a Model 449 or 74347U surface box. In dry indoor conditions, a standard 4-inch square by 1.5-inch deep box works. Optional WG4WTS white trim skirt provides a finished look when using a 449 or 4-inch square by 2-1/8" deep box. The optional WG4GSKT full-body gasket seals the backplane for recessed installations in poured or block walls.

Does this horn work outdoors?
Yes. Rated for outdoor and indoor use with an operating temperature range of -40°F to 151°F and 0-95% RH noncondensing. For outdoor installations, mount to a Model 449 or 74347U surface box.
Can I switch between temporal and coded operation?
Yes. The horn ships factory-set for three-pulse temporal pattern. Cut jumper JP1 on the circuit board to switch to coded (steady) operation. A Genesis Signal Master (EG1M-RM) is required when horn-strobe models run on coded NAC circuits.
What electrical boxes are compatible?
Outdoor/wet: Model 449 or 74347U surface box. Indoor/dry: standard 4-inch square by 1.5-inch deep box. When using the optional WG4WTS trim skirt, use a 449 or 4-inch square by 2-1/8" deep box.
What synchronization sources work with this horn?
Compatible with GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC1S, GSA-MCC2A auto-sync output modules, the EG1M-RM Genesis Signal Master, and VS, VM, and FX Series control panels with built-in Genesis synchronization.
How loud is this horn?
Up to 94.7 dBA at 24 VDC (UL 464 reverberant room measurement at 10 ft). High/low dB settings are field-selectable via jumper JP3. Low setting reduces output by approximately 5 dB.
