EVOLVE panels support peer-to-peer networking over mixed media — Ethernet, twisted-pair copper, or fiber — and the SFP form factor means the network controller is a field-swappable module rather than a fixed onboard interface. On campus and multi-building jobs where copper distance limits or electrical isolation requirements rule out RS-485, the SMH's long-haul single-mode fiber link keeps panels networked without repeaters or media converters at intermediate points.
