The EVOLVE-NET-SM is a dual-fiber single-mode SFP network controller for Kidde EVOLVE Series fire alarm panels, built for campus-scale networking. Standard-power output over a 9/125 (G.652) single-mode fiber pair reaches up to 8.7 miles (14 km) between panels.
Built for the commercial fire installer
EVOLVE panels support peer-to-peer networking over mixed media Ć¢ā¬ā Ethernet, twisted-pair copper, or fiber Ć¢ā¬ā and the SFP form factor means the network controller is a field-swappable module rather than a fixed onboard interface. Single-mode fiber networking sidesteps copper distance limits and gives electrical isolation between buildings, which matters on campus jobs with separate service entrances or lightning exposure between structures.
